Native American Boarding School System

Thousands of Native American children are being sent to boarding schools around the country. This began in the early 19th century where many children were forcibly removed from their homes. Most of these children were beaten and forced to do hard labor. Some also never returned back to their families. Hundreds are known to have died as well. This article does a very good job getting the point out. It had a bunch of pictures and news article that attracted my attention.

Isabel is a Jr/Senior transfer from California. She is 20 years old and originally from the Netherlands. She is the oldest of two. Her brother plays basketball in Belgium and her sister plays volleyball. Isabel is a business major and a minor marketing and sports management. She is also part of the Morningside Woman Soccer team. Fun fact is that she’s been part of the Fifa fan experience panel in Switzerland. If she were not to play soccer she would play volleyball or basketball.
