I think it was interesting to learn about Paganism. I would definitely say that it is a religion. It has all of the elements of religion. I think that this would be an empowering religion to practice. I thought that it was interesting that the Goddess gave birth to herself. I also find it interesting that they have no texts. I like how Christianity has the bible, because if you ever are questioning something, the bible is there for you to look at. I really can’t find much to say about Paganism.

I agree with you in that it was interesting to learn about Paganism. Even that it has all the elements of religion there could be so many questions brought up from this religion. Mainly because the religion has no text, which to me, means it has no credibility. If someone were to have questions about this religion there is no place that they could get answers. They could turn to myths and sacred stories but who is to say that these are accurate? I feel like today left me with more questions about what is religion rather than helping me come to a more definite answer.
I thought it was pretty interesting to learn about Paganism as well, but I also couldn’t find much to talk about on the subject. I found it to be pretty confusing and I feel like there are a lot of different types of Pagans. Something that I also didn’t really get as you and Blake both mentioned is how they don’t have any text with their religion. How can you be sure of something without any proof? I know with Christianity there is a Bible, but there really is no way to prove that everything in it is factual, but it still has something in writing that makes it believable. Talking this over in class, I believe it can be a religion, but who’s to say people don’t just make it up as they go?
