More specifically, Hello Fuzhou, China!

Dr. Greg Guelcher, his wife Yumiko, daughter Alyssa (19), son Alex (15), and three Morningside students (see the Biography page) will be travelling to Hwa Nan Women’s College, Morningside College’s sister school in China, for the month of July.  While at Hwa Nan, all but Alex will be teaching courses (in English!) in Hwa Nan’s Summer Camp program (akin to our summer school).

Hopefully, our presence will help lead to the successful renewal of an historic relationship between our two schools, one that extends as far back as 1908!

As our trip marks the first such Morningside delegation ever to teach at Hwa Nan since at least the 1930s, we’re hoping to record our experiences in this blog.

Sincerely,

Morningside’s Intrepid Explorers

Hello from Morningside College

We are so anxious to hear how everything is going.

All is well here. We are anxiously awaiting the arrive of 8 young ladies from Hwa Nan on the 17th.

Take care,
Terri

Really am enjoying following you via your blog. Wow, it sounds amazing. We’ve had three days of almost endless rain, and when it does stop very hot and humid….but I’m guessing cooler than what you are experiencing.

Continued success and “world broadening” experiences to each of you.

Take care,
Terri

Hi

I continue to enjoy reading your blog. My what a time you are all having. The eight young ladies from Hwa Nan are doing very well here. They are adjusting, talking (Greg as you said their command of the English language is very good)and I believe are having a great time. More later.

Take care,
Terri
