Jorge Costilla Captured: Mexican Navy Reportedly Apprehends Head Of Gulf Cartel
was the headline for today’s front page news on Huffington Post. Ironically, Jorge Costilla was captured by the Mexican Navy in Tampico, located in northern Mexico, one of the most Cartel-gang active place. One very interesting piece of information I’ve read, what interest me the most about this news article is that the location where the incident is so close to the US. Furthermore, most don’t really pay attention to what happens boarder close to the US, since there’s been a giant news explosion about how Muslim protesters were speaking up about how America doesn’t really pay attention to what they are doing to other countries. I find this article about the Cartel Gulf leader somewhat news worthy, however, I began to lose interest because the article didn’t really tell me what he was doing and how he got captured exactly. The news just gloss over Costilla’s capture then went on talking about how it will affect corrupted politicians who approved gang activities.

This bit of news has been overwhelmed somewhat by events in the Middle East. You may be right, though, that news coverage of the drug gangs in Mexico is not covered as well as it should be.
I’m not clear on your other comments, though. This is breaking news, so the media may not know a lot just yet. And many times in these sorts of stories information in withheld in order to protect informants and agents.
Need to proofread, Cammy, even for small assignments.
