Get to Know Mandy De Jongh

Mandy De Jongh is a sophomore at Morningside University. She was born and raised in Hull, Iowa, where she grew up participating in basketball, volleyball, and golf. She attended Boyden-Hull high school where she participated in all three sports until her sophomore year, when she decided to quit to focus on school and work.
She thoroughly enjoys her job at Willow Creek boutique, where she has worked since her sophomore year. At work, she does photoshoots and other things of that nature in order to promote her brand as well as different articles of clothing.
When asked about her favorite part of the job she stated: “I like to see all of the fashion trends and keeping up to date with them”. She hopes to keep working at the boutique throughout college and would even consider making a career out of it.
Mandy has two older siblings, Anna and Bo, as well as a younger sister, Jaelyn. She enjoys spending time with them whenever she can. They all grew up on a farm together, and enjoy tending to the cows and pigs that they own. Along with the animals, they also grow corn and beans, which means they are very busy year round.
Her favorite vacation spot is Puerto Rico, mainly due to the fact that she loves spending time on the beach. She has only been one time but hopes to make it back eventually because she had such a great experience the first time around.
