Megan Callahan’s Trip to Hawaii

In December of 2022, Megan Callahan had the opportunity to go to Honolulu, Hawaii. She and the other members of the basketball team spent a week down there, and had an amazing time. Megan said it was her favorite vacation that she has ever been on.
Megan said that one of her favorite parts of the trip was attending a traditional Hawaiian “Luau”. When asked about this experience, she said this: “My favorite part about the Luau was getting to see some traditional dances, which were very entertaining”. These dances consisted of elaborate movements as well as sticks of fire being twirled around.
Another highlight of the trip was getting the chance to try surfing. She said she was only able to get up for about two seconds, but the experience was still a blast. “It looks way easier than it actually is”, said Callahan.
Megan had a very memorable time in Hawaii and hopes to eventually make her way back to the destination.
