Comments(2) | 1. I do believe that after taking this class my leads and over all writing news articles and stories has gotten better.
2. I know my organization isn’t good at all, when I write my head goes all over the place so I just throw it down and reorganization it and it doesn’t finish completely organized and in order. To me an article needs to be as long as it needs to be with a good lead and getting all the points across that need to be made. Pictures and video to the article do really help. Actually seeing the article with pictures or video can really bring in the community and bring emotion to the article when you can actually see what’s going on, instead of just reading it and making your own picture in your head.
Organization is a difficult skill no matter what kind of writing
you’re doing, Caitlin. Multiple drafts and a critical eye are
probably the best things to practice. What I mean by having a
critical eye is to be able to read your own writing as if you
have never seen it before. Ask yourself how it could be better.
And as far as organization, ask if each paragraph builds on the
one before. Are the paragraphs organized so that the info is
logical and understandable.
Looks like I’m writing bad poetry.
