Couple Shoot

Macaroni salad turns deadly for this newly wed couple yesterday at 5 p.m. Police were called to the scene after a neighbor reported shooting coming from the couple’s house.

A police spokesperson reported that Richard Brunson, 50, shot his wife Laurette Brunson, 38, with a .22-calibre handgun after she threw a plate of wedding reception macaroni salad at him. Laurette Brunson was taken to to St. Luke’s Hospital, while the whereabouts of the groom, Richard Brunson, are still unknown.

Just 3 hours earlier, Richard and Laurette Brunson were married on the front porch of their home, with about 30 relatives and friends in attendance.

Mr. Brunson worked for a construction company and his wife had been working for a government housing program but had recently quit. The bride had three children, who were at the couples home at the time of the incident.
