30 09 2011When reading the articles, I kept thinking yep, yep, yep all the stuff is pretty important, especially with attending a liberal arts college. Which I might include that I am once again reassured that a liberal arts college was the best choice to help me become a well rounded individual.
When thinking of a mission statement for me, I come up with a loss of words. I keep thinking what is my mission, what is something I could follow. All that comes to mind is what I want to gain from attending a liberal arts college. so that’s where I am going with my blog.
Being at a liberal arts college the students are encouraged to be open minded & explore options. This includes on taking a variety of classes, being involved in various groups that may or may not pertain to their major. Having an open mind will allow students to appreciate different cultures and others opinions, which will help them become a better person. A liberal arts college allows students to leave with a level of education in all areas and being able to critically think, which will help in whatever career choice they choose to take. Graduates will take on the next chapter of their life with an open mind, being able to critically think, and being a well rounded individual.
I think it is a great thing to attend a liberal arts college. You leave that school after a few years a more rounded person. Your communication skills have grown a lot because you are able to make better conversation because you know a board area of topics.
