According to Police Colonel Noppadol Thiammekha, Pathum Wan Police Chief, the shooting occurred at around 5 p.m. local time (6 a.m. ET) at Bangkok’s Siam Paragon Mall.

Thai Police officers stated that a 14-year-old boy has been apprehended after a shooting incident at a luxury shopping mall in Bangkok. The incident resulted in the death of at least two individuals and left five others wounded, causing panic among shoppers. The suspect, who is reported to have mental health issues, was found with a weapon and has been hospitalized for assessment after being interrogated by the police.

Shir Yahav, 26, described the terrifying experience, stating, “We saw everyone running, but we didn’t understand what was happening. We followed them and then heard several shots, about six or seven shots. We barricaded the store’s door”.
