By Iandra Estupinian–<\/strong>Imagine a store where you could purchase clothes, make-up,\nelectronics, and toys for less than five dollars. Imagine how convenient it\nwould be to go into this store and buy headphones, decorative rugs, and game\nboards for friends and family without making a huge dent in your wallet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That would be incredible, wouldn\u2019t it?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Well lucky for you, Five Below is the store for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The store just opened at the Lakeport Commons Shopping\nCenter in early March and is a huge hit amongst college students and Sioux City\nresidents. As a college student myself, I took the liberty of visiting the\nstore with some friends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When entering Five Below, I was immediately reminded of the\natmosphere of Claire\u2019s and Walmart at the same time. You can automatically tell\nthat the store aims its merchandise at teenagers and young adults because of\nthe trendy, colorful, and fun stuff they sell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBefore going to Five Below, I heard from others that the\nstore had everything,\u201d said sophomore, Nancy Coronel. \u201cThe one section of the\nstore that stood out to me was the sports and work-out because I found some\ngood equipment like yoga mats and dumbbells.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Honestly, I was surprised at the selection of merchandise\nthat Five Below had to offer. They had candy, small furnishings, phone\/laptop\nequipment, home d\u00e9cor, make-up, sports\/work-out equipment, and a huge display\nof shirts on the back wall. After making a whole round of the store, I could\ntell that Five Below is the place you go to when planning to buy a gift for\nsomeone young, organizing an event, or when wanting to spice up your lifestyle\na bit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI wasn\u2019t expecting such good quality for the prices that\nthe store had,\u201d said sophomore, Shawnae Van Veldhuizen. \u201cIt had a great variety\nof items and I think it\u2019s a really good store for college students.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I agree with Shawnae because I ended up spending most of my\nshopping time in the room\/home decor and clothing sections. When I walked out\nof the store, I had bought a small Himalayan salt lamp, a small metal side\ntable, and a cat shirt that says, \u201cI\u2019m Allergic to Humans,\u201d\u2013all for $15. A week\nand a half has gone by and none of my purchases have broken or torn so far.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Factoring in that Five Below changes their merchandise with\nthe different seasons and holidays (to keep up with newer trends), my friends\nand I would give this store a 3.5\/5. Five Below is a cool store to visit but in\nthe end, it\u2019s not for everyone.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
