Even larger\ncities like Omaha have dealt with flooded highways, homes, and properties. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Many people affected depend\non assistance from local agencies and gracious donations from individuals to\nhelp them recover from the flooding.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The group set up in the\nlibrary selling homemade brownies, cupcakes, cookies, and a variety of\ndifferent pastries. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Morningside junior and organizer\nRiley Custer says while she is an Arizona native she believes it\u2019s crucial to lend\na helping hand to communities in need. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cGreat opportunity to reach\nout to the community with everything going on,\u201d Custer explained \u201cIt\u2019s close to\nhome for some students so it\u2019s great to help our community but surrounding\ncommunities as well.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Custer says the funds will\nbe donated to the community they believe it will be most effective in. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The organizations plan to\nhost future events for flood relief efforts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you want to help out with\nflood relief efforts, the American Red Cross is looking for more volunteers.
