Each episode has a different setting and issue in it, making each one feel fresh. There is a different science fiction element, like space or steampunk, in each story that any viewer can enjoy.

The animation in each episode varies a lot, which made me
excited to see the next episode. The styles vary from a “Spiderman: Into the
Spiderverse” style to “The Walking Dead” videogame style. Some of the animation
styles did feel a bit weird for me due to the story or questions in the
episode.

Love, Death, and Robots does have two common themes in each episode: extreme violence and the guarantee of boobs or flaccid dong. Each episode knows how to use the two very effectively, most commonly used to make scenes sexual or to make viewers uncomfortable.

There are moments in the show that do feel like a softcore
porno. These are the scenes I believe that take away from the big philosophical
or psychological questions presented in episodes. Some of the episodes would
have been better if it weren’t for these sexual or porno moments.

The nudity is more common for female characters in the show
than males. It definitely feels to me like the episode creators were animating
for more male viewers. This is mainly because the female characters are
animated more sexually naked compared to male, who showed dong only when in
peril or humorous situations.

With the shows use of very graphic violence, it can be startling for some viewers. I cringed or shut my eyes for a bit due to how extreme some of the violence is. If you are not able to handle the gore in Game of Thrones, I don’t think you will be able to handle Love, Death, and Robots.

The series does vary for everyone with the order of the
episodes. Netflix has tweeted that the streaming service has been organizing
the series in four different ways. Some sources say Netflix is giving episode order
based on sexuality but the streaming service denied the allegations.

Love, Death, and Robots is a quick watch that has something I think any adult can enjoy. Due to the violence, nudity, and occasional misogyny in the show, it can be hard to watch and worth passing up for some viewers. I give the show 7/10 evolved yogurts.

By Abby Koch–Netflix is mixing up the game of streaming with its new adult animated series Love, Death, and Robots.
