By Grace Nordquist–<\/strong>\u201cGreek to Me\u201d is a great place to get authentic Greek food at affordable prices. They serve everything from gyros to salads, burgers, sandwiches, and more. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The inside is small but\ninviting, seating roughly 40 people comfortably. Small, Greek themed pictures\nare hung on the walls above the tables, giving the shop an authentic feel. It\nseems the goal of the restaurant is to make customers feel they are eating real\nGreek food in a traditional setting. They even serve a popular Greek pastry:\nbaklava.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\nrestaurant is located at 5714\nSunnybrook Dr. and is open Monday-Saturday 11 a.m.- 9p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m.- 5\np.m. The restaurant is casual, with a drive through option and order first\/take\na number style seating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 On a Friday evening it was fairly quiet, with\nonly three other couples eating inside. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I ordered an original gyro without\ntomato, and made it a combo with a side of GTM (Greek to Me) fries. The meat on\nthe gyro was tender and fresh and was some of the best lamb I\u2019ve ever had. The\npita shell may have been homemade, or at least heated well, and had a good mix\nof crispy and soft. The Tzatziki sauce had small chunks of cucumber cut up,\nwhich I thought would be bigger, but the taste was good. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The GTM fries were fresh, golden\nfried with some sort of seasoning. I enjoyed them but thought they could use a\nlittle more of the seasoning. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

My friend Mo ordered a pizza\ngyro with cheese balls. The pizza gyro was something neither of us had seen\nbefore and Mo described it as \u201cfun.\u201d We didn\u2019t know what quite to expect. When\nit arrived, it was the same pita bread used for the gyros (a single piece)\ntopped with pizza sauce, lamb, and cheese and cut in triangles like a mini\npizza. It was different, but the toppings complimented each other well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The cheese balls that were on\nthe side we both agreed were a little off. The batter on them was not very good\nand seemed a little burnt. We thought maybe they were fried in old oil. Mo\nadded they could\u2019ve used a side of ranch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Overall, I would give my meal\nan 8\/10 rating. It was affordable, authentic, and the food was fresh and tasty.\nI would give the service a 10\/10, as they were friendly and the food came fast.\nI would give the atmosphere a 9\/10 rating. It was small but had a cute Greek\nvibe to it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mo gave her meal a 7.1\/10 rating,\nwishing the cheeseballs were better but liked the fun pizza gyro. The service\nshe gave a 10\/10 rating, saying \u201cthey were good people.\u201d For atmosphere, she\ngave it an 8.5\/10, \u201cit was quiet, nice, clean.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mo and I enjoyed our first\nexperience at \u201cGreek to Me\u201d and would recommend it for anyone looking to try something\nnew.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
