This gives students from all majors to present research they have gathered over the previous year. Palmer provides great experience not only those students presenting, but those who are viewing the research done by their peers.<\/p>\n<p>Kate Mathes a junior presented a poster on Antibiotic Resistance in an Iowa Hog Farm Concentration Facility. Mathes is majoring in Biology, and is glad to have the opportunity to present.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPresenting at Palmer was a great way for me to work on my communication skills,\u201d said Mathes. \u201cAs well as spread awareness about my topic.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is a way to promote research in all educational departments,\u201d said Jared VanDyke, a junior nursing major, after presenting his research on Sleep Aids and Safety in the Aging Population during the Maud Adams Nursing Research Day. \u201c It teaches us to always want to learn more about out craft and become better nurses.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Many students presented under many different topics these included Mixed Methods, Qualitative research, C&amp;C research, and Quantitative research which were presented as either oral presentations or posters through the day.
