They extend their office hours to reach the students who need extra help. They bring bagels and donuts to their finals period, because they\u2019re not oblivious to their students\u2019 skyrocketing stress levels. They even make sure the department candy jar is stocked with everyone\u2019s favorite sweets.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">There are two ladies who work at the Spoonholder every day. They always have a smile on their faces, and they often act as a sounding board for the stressed, sleep-deprived, and anxious. Students walk up to the counter, order their coffee, and when it\u2019s in their hands they walk away.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Sometimes we\u2019re too caught up in our own problems to say a simple \u2018thank you.\u2019 As the fall semester comes to a close, send an email to your favorite professor. Let them know you appreciate the time they put in to grading your work and teaching the class.<\/p>\n<p>Even though they do it every day, a \u2018thank you\u2019 every now and then never hurt anyone. Stop. Take a look around you.
