Communications and Religious Studies from Madison, SD, is the Morningside Activities Council Public Relations Officer.<\/span><\/p>\n

As Public Relations Officer of the Morningside Activities Council (MAC) he is responsible for advertisements and the creation of a digital MAC logo for the year. \u201cI help make posters and help with social media posts,\u201d he explained.<\/span><\/p>\n

The main advertisements that Jordan creates are the posters hanging up around campus and the residence halls. He also helps the Vice President of MAC by posting signs on social media.<\/span><\/p>\n

Along with creating paper advertisements, he and his committee are also in charge of getting them up and out in a timely fashion.<\/span><\/p>\n

Jordan is also in charge of a newly founded committee, which is to be created as needed in the MAC constitution: MAC\u2019s Public Relations Committee. The Public Relations Officer is in charge of the committee. The Public Relations Committee takes a lot of time because they have to go around all over campus to hang up signs. Those who help in this committee are considered highly for Marvelous MAC Member of the Month.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI think public relations is a really important job. Just to get the message of what MAC is and what MAC does out to students,\u201d Heim said.<\/span><\/p>\n

He wanted to be MAC\u2019s Public Relations Officer because he wanted to bring his knowledge and expertise in the public relations field. \u201cI just wanted to bring my knowledge and expertise of public relations, graphic design, and marketing to this position to help improve MAC and to make it the best Morningside Activities Council it can be.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Outside of the MAC world Jordan is an RA with a pet fish named Henry Daniel Heim the Second, along with two pet ghost shrimp, and a cat at home named Winston Fitzgerald Heim. In his free time he can be seen singing in the Morningside College Choir, riding his bike, or found in his dorm watching Netflix.<\/span><\/p>\n

MAC Meetings are Wednesdays in the Student Government Office, located in the lower level of the Olsen Student Center, at 6pm.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
