Internships.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">Morningside College student Jackie Bossman decided to ditch the typical local internship and go for something a little higher on the hill. It took me an hour on the metro, and then it took me fifteen minutes to walk from the metro station.\u201d After her lengthy commute, Bossman would arrive at the Hart building where she interned for Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">As an admin intern, Bossman was in charge of the tour schedules, but halfway through her internship the tours hit a snag. \u201cThey closed the Capitol\u2019s Rotunda on the inside, because they had to do construction\u2026 so we had to change our tour.\u201d But not even the stress of changing the tour schedules stole D.C.\u2019s magic.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">Bossman said, \u201cI want to go back as soon as I can. Actually I went through a sort of depression since being back here, because D.C. was my dream city. I was constantly happy there. I wasn\u2019t ever in a bad mood\u2026 so being here and not where my heart is makes me want to go back.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">In the future you probably won\u2019t be seeing Jackie Bossman on the Hill. She wants to take a different path in Washington. \u201cIf I could do some sort of business job or work for the C.I.A. and do intelligence work.
