The pizza wasn’t anything that you couldn’t find outside of Iowa. Don’t get me wrong but it wasn’t anything special.

If you can stand the wait of forty to fifty minutes then you may be able to enjoy some food but the wait isn’t necessarily worth it.

I would suggest ordering a calzone when you visit, you get more for your money and quite frankly they look like they are just plain better.

Pricing is good, couldn’t complain about that. Service was polite and friendly. They made the experience good even after waiting close to an hour.

Even thought I didn’t partake, I was told they had over 180 beers to select from. Beer and pizza doesn’t sound too bad, if that’s your type of thing. I did partake in dessert though and yes, that was the best part of the meal for me. The cheesecake we ordered was superb.

As for the setting, it was your typical high-energy restaurant, sports on the TV and people talking over loud music. It’s not the type of place you want to take your significant other on a romantic date but if you and your friends want somewhere to eat for relatively cheap with a good atmosphere, I highly recommend it.

Overall, I did have a good experience. In all honesty I over hyped it in my head. The pizza was good but I was expecting so much more. Old Chicago is a good place and it is good for Sioux City, I would still say go check it out!

By Derek Krayenhagen–If you are looking for the “Chicago style” pizza you may be disappointed after visiting Old Chicago here in Sioux City.
