\"Kiosk\"By Hannah Hecht–<\/strong>Calling all creative writers and artists! Pick up your pens, grab your brushes, and open up your word documents because the Morningside College Kiosk <\/i>literary magazine will be publishing its 76th\u00a0issue this year.<\/p>\n

Submissions are open to Morningside students, alumni, faculty, and staff. Acceptable submissions include: art, creative nonfiction, fiction, graphic design, photography, and poetry. There are monetary prizes for first, second, and third place in both the literature and art categories.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf anyone isn\u2019t completely sure about whether they should submit something they have written or created, they should just go for it,\u201d said Carly Hanson, this year\u2019s editor-in-chief. \u201cIt\u2019s not a big, complex process; it\u2019s a chance to see your name and your work in print. Sometimes, people who aren\u2019t English or art majors think that their stuff isn\u2019t worth submitting, but our past Kiosks <\/i>have had representation from a wide range of majors.\u201d<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s submission deadline will be February 17, 2014. Submissions can be sent to kiosk@morningside.edu<\/a>.
