Getting married and graduating from college is no easy feat. Most college
\nstudents wouldn\u2019t want to take on both of those tasks. However, Alisa Christensen,
\nsenior Mass Communication major at Morningside, is graduating in May after only
\nbeing in college for 3 years and getting married in June to her high school
\nsweetheart Josh Winkle. Alisa said, \u201cNot only am I trying to graduate on May, 11 but
\nmy fianc\u00e9 is as well. I don\u2019t recommend graduating and planning a wedding within
\ntwo months.\u201d<\/p>\n
Alisa chose her major because she said, \u201cI enjoy learning as much as I can
\nabout different things. My major allowed me to study design, computer science, and
\nmass communication.\u201d Christensen has recently finished up her internship at KTIV.
\n\u201cI worked with Christy Batien who is their Internet Director. I worked on writing
\nand posting stories to the website, I also was able to follow a reporter on a shoot as
\nwell as their meteorologists during a big storm\u201d Christensen said. So, needless to say
\nkeeping busy is her forte.<\/p>\n
On top of graduation and getting married, Alisa is also applying for jobs. She
\nhas no offers yet, but has applied to be the multimedia person for Tiger Rock in
\nDakota Dunes. Alisa said, \u201cIt is the perfect job for what I am looking for, but almost
\nlike any job they want 1 to 2 years experience so we will see if that pans out for me.\u201d<\/p>\n
With her plate full Alisa loves finding time to ride her motorcycle. Yep, that\u2019s
\nright, her hobby and joy is riding a bike. She said, \u201cI enjoy riding motorcycles. I ride
\nwith my fianc\u00e9 as well as my dad. That is a big thing that Josh and I enjoy together as
\na couple.\u201d In less than a year she can say she is an Alumni, wife, and motorcyclist.
\nWith Alisa\u2019s ambition and drive her future after college is looking eventful and
