Sioux City\u2019s Representative Ron Jorgensen introduced him. Jorgensen articulated in his introduction that he \u201cpredicts a clean sweep at all levels.\u201d Jorgensen welcomed Thune, a \u201ctrue patriot and respected leader.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Thune opened with jokingly saying he was jealous of all the attention we get here in Iowa, since South Dakota is not much of a battleground state.<\/p>\n<p>Thune gave a heart-felt thanks to all the volunteers and supporters who have given their time and dedication to the upcoming election, thanking them for what they have done and what they will do until Election Day.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLeave no stone unturned,\u201d<strong> <\/strong>said Thune. He stressed the importance of reaching out and getting everyone who hasn\u2019t already voted to the polls on Election Day. The election could come down to Iowa\u2019s electoral votes. No one wants to wake up the morning after the election wishing they had done more.<\/p>\n<p>Thune argued that among taxes and unemployment, the only thing that has gone down since President Obama took office is take-home pay.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRoll up your sleeves, we are on the home stretch,\u201d said Thune in an encouraging conclusion to his visit.<\/p>\n<p>Also visiting the Republican Victory Office, Governor Terry Branstad will make a visit tomorrow night, November 1<sup>st<\/sup> at 6:30 p.m.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">&#8212;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Meghanne Adams&#8211; Senator John Thune of South Dakota made a stop at the Republican Victory Office in Sioux City, IA to thank volunteers and local supports and to address the importance of the election next week.
