Stressing that Barack Obama has fought hard for women\u2019s rights, the First Lady campaigned in Sioux City in the last week of the campaign season.<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Obama stated that the President was the best choice for women voters. \u201cHe\u2019s surrounded by women!\u201d she laughed, referring to herself and the two first daughters, and later mentioning that Barack Obama was raised by his mother and grandmother.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-4387\" src=\"http:\/\/wordpress.morningside.edu\/thecr\/files\/2012\/10\/newDSC_0072-800x365.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"292\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wordpress.morningside.edu\/thecr\/files\/2012\/10\/newDSC_0072-800x365.jpg 800w, https:\/\/wordpress.morningside.edu\/thecr\/files\/2012\/10\/newDSC_0072-200x91.jpg 200w, https:\/\/wordpress.morningside.edu\/thecr\/files\/2012\/10\/newDSC_0072-400x182.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/>Another hot topic was the economy, and in an attempt to reach out to young people, student loans. \u201cWhen we were first married,\u201d the First Lady said, \u201cour combined student loan payments totaled more than our mortgage. That\u2019s something you can relate to.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The entire message was overwhelmingly positive and enthusiastic, and Mrs. Obama often mentioned that she knew how to relate to the average person. Buses were waiting after the event to take people to the Long Lines Center, where early voting was open. If you\u2019ve already voted, the First Lady said, spend your week and Election Day urging others to vote.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou know that student sitting next to you in chemistry? We all know that kid.
