Here's an example of a legitimate reason to miss class.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

As a commuter, I\u2019ve noticed that it\u2019s easy to fall into the trap of wanting to stay home, cozy in bed, instead of scraping ice off of the windshield and driving to campus in the cold.\u00a0While it may be tempting, missing classes is never a good idea.<\/p>\n

Why?<\/p>\n

One thing leads to another…<\/strong> So maybe one measly little class doesn\u2019t seem like a big idea, but skipping one class leads to skipping another. Don\u2019t start a bad habit.<\/p>\n

Professors won\u2019t respect you.<\/strong> Think back to when you lived on campus (if you did). If you skipped classes because you slept in, the professor wasn\u2019t very happy. Don\u2019t be that commuter that never comes to class. Professors can see right through bad excuses, and let\u2019s be real: a car can only have so many flat tires before a professor chooses to disregard any of your future excuses for missing class.<\/p>\n

Do the math. <\/strong>Look at how much students pay for tuition per semester. Divide that by the number of classes you have during the semester. Do you really want to miss a class that costs that much per hour?<\/p>\n

What else will you do?<\/strong> Why attend college if you\u2019re not going to go to class? This is a no-brainer. Other students spend their days in class, so it\u2019s not like the city is a big social event.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
