If a parent is \u201cfriends\u201d with their teen then they will have access to that information. On the other hand some parents feel the need to \u201ccreep\u201d on their children\u2019s walls. Maybe they are worried about their child getting involved with the wrong crowd, or having problems with drinking and partying.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCreeping\u201d is the act of constantly checking up on someone\u2019s Facebook wall. People \u201ccreep\u201d on other people for various reasons. Sometimes they \u201ccreep\u201d because they have a crush on someone but are anxious about the other person knowing how they feel. So they end up stalking them on Facebook instead. A newspaper article about parents \u201ccreeping\u201d on their teenager\u2019s Facebook wall begs the question: Have Morningside students ever experienced this?<\/p>\n<p>Freshman Michelle Knipe said that her mom used to be on Facebook, but isn\u2019t anymore. \u201cWhen she was on Facebook, she hacked into my Facebook page and was creeping all the time. It was really annoying.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Daniel Terry, Jr. said, \u201cmy ex-girlfriend\u2019s parents creep. A lot of people\u2019s moms worry about their kid\u2019s friends.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Other students shared that their moms and some of their friends\u2019 moms are \u201chelicopter moms\u201d meaning that they are hovering over their kids and trying to protect them. One Morningside student admitted, \u201cmy mom has seen every Saturday night four a.m. drunk picture on my Facebook wall.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When asked if there was a difference between moms and dads regarding \u201ccreeping\u201d he added, \u201cYes. Most dads are not on Facebook.
