Before the opener, players Kyla Severson and Fran Telford provided some insight about how preseason has been and how they\u2019re feeling heading into the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Severson said the competition in practice has been positive saying it pushes everyone to work harder. She also mentioned that there are standout players joining the squad this year, which has made things even more exciting. Telford added that with so much talent on the team, not everyone will get the minutes they want, which could be tough at times. Even with this information, Telford was quick to point out that everyone brings something valuable to the table, and that overall the team is really solid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both Kyla and Fran agreed that the chemistry has been awesome so far. \u201cThe team isn\u2019t cliquey, everyone gets along really well,\u201d Kyla said. The strong bond, along with the depth of talent, has them both confident that this year\u2019s group has what it takes to go far.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Looking ahead to the opener, Kyla says it won\u2019t be easy, \u201cThe competition in this game will be strong and on another level of play,\u201d she said. Still, she feels the team is ready to take on the challenge thanks to their depth and variety of skills across the roster.
