Located at 4400 Sergent Rd, the annual sale will be running from through April 27, offering a gigantic variety of used books, CD\u2019s, DVD\u2019s and even vinyl, all costing between $4 and $1 dollar. The sale is being held in the Southern Hills Mall, 4400 Sergeant Rd.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This fundraising event aims to help fund Sioux City\u2019s children\u2019s summer reading initiative, while also providing books, recordings, online resources, and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The library counted on the help of many volunteers to set up the sale, including Morningside\u2019s men\u2019s and women\u2019s soccer teams. They unloaded three trucks full of books, carrying and organizing all of the hundreds of boxes of books that were gathered for this event. Other people were also able to, and still can, sign up to help out in many different ways.<\/p>\n\n\n

Mathias Constantinou, a student from Morningside, helped with the soccer team and also decided to come back as a volunteer on different days. He said, \u201cIt\u2019s good fun setting everything up and I am always amazed by the hundreds of boxes filled with books. The book sale is a great event that brings a lot of people together and gives books a second (or third) life. I always make sure to come and look around to see if there is a book that catches my interest.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
