The game had to go to a shootout, but the Mustang men’s soccer team topped Briar Cliff in the GPAC Tournament semi-final Saturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The game was 1-1 at the end of regulation, and 2-2 after overtime. That left it to Mustang Timon Koerber in goal to defend penalty kicks. Morningside won the shootout 4-3 as Koerber, Yannik Vogel, Jurre Thielen and Sander Kohberg found the back of the net. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Northwestern University will host the tournament final, Nov. 9 at 7 pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
