We don’t get graded on attendance and it’s extremely difficult to get A’s in Denmark. I think I know of one person who graduated high school with straight A’s, so I’m glad I chose to come here especially due to all the friends I’ve been able to make.”

On top of pushing for good grades Lucia is a college athlete. She says, ”Soccer takes up a lot of my time, but I love being a part of a team. Without them I don’t think I would have very much of a social life.”

Before her time here Lucia played club soccer since she was just four-years-old! In Denmark they actually don’t offer college soccer, it’s just ‘club.’”

Kruize says overall, “Moving to Sioux City has been a great experience, but hard on me. It’s so difficult trying to accommodate the time-change to keep in contact with my family and I really miss my hometown and friends.
