Each year Sunnybrook has this prom, but due to COVID, it could not be held last year. Quite a few Morningside students also volunteer each year, whether they go to the church or not, it is a way for them to help support the community.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year members from the sorority Alpha Omicron Pi at Morningside and nursing students decided to help out. \u201cI wanted to be a part of the community and to brighten somebody\u2019s day,\u201d says Katie Kirby, a member of Alpha Omicron Pi.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When Sunnybrook holds an even like this, it is a time for others to give back to the community. Especially during this hard time of the pandemic, when not everybody can have the same kind of human contact. \u201cHuman connection is everything for everybody. It means a lot,\u201d says Hannah Stock, the philanthropy officer of Alpha Omicron Pi.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The prom drive thru was held on Friday, April 23 from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Volunteers lined the parking lot drive thru route and cheered the prom goers on.
