They volunteered\ntheir time dressing in prom attire and taking their buddies out for a night to\nremember. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Morningside\njunior, Kenny Osten, had the opportunity to be a dancing buddy during the event\nand said the night changed his life. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis\nis such a special night, to be able to shed light on the fact that we are all\nwonderfully made, and give these individuals the spotlight they deserve is\nsomething bigger than me, and bigger than Morningside. I felt so lucky to be a\npart of it,\u201d Osten said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\nnight included a dance party, hair and make-up stations, limo rides, photographers,\ndinner, and karaoke. This is the third year Sunnybrook has been able to host\nthis event, and every year the turnout is bigger than the year prior.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Trey\nBrown, junior basketball player, said \u201cThis is my second year being able to be\na buddy at night to shine, and it has always been so fun. My night was\nbeautiful, and we danced the night away. For me it was more than going with my\nfriends as a team building experience, this was more than basketball, more than\njust going to church.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;\u201cTo be able to make these people feel normal\nin a world where they are constantly looked down on, is nothing less than\namazing,\u201d Brown continued. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Night\nto Shine hosted nearly 300 prom dates, and had over 400 volunteers that brought\nthe night together.
