This picture means a lot to me. AAC Champions. The emotions I felt in this moment was indescribable as I achieved something I had worked incredibly hard for. Leaving all my friends and girlfriend behind at Morningside after having spent two years there, to transfer to Florida International University, an enormous D1 school in Miami, FL. No one believed I could and I was being called everything from ‘lucky’ to ‘not good enough’ and ‘stupid’. Not only being a part of a top 10 D1 program, but playing and contributing to winning the most prestigious soccer conference in the country, was everything that I knew I was capable of.
