High schools have been known to be very rough on a child.  People who are outcasts are often tormented and don’t get very much attention.  High school is all about looks and drama.  If you don’t have the looks and don’t participate in the drama, then you are a nobody.  All of the things that happen in high school is because the students are immature.  The author of this article is trying to say that high school should be abolished and students should graduate at age 16.  This is way too early.  One reason why 18 is the biological age for adulthood is because of their development.  Just because people are having sex sooner doesn’t make them mature sooner.  The human brain is fully developed by the age of 18 which makes it so they can make mature decisions.  Skipping a few years of high school isn’t going to do anything for these students.  They will still get picked on no matter what.  Throwing them into adulthood sooner will just make things worse.
