{"id":90,"date":"2015-10-30T16:38:58","date_gmt":"2015-10-30T21:38:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wordpress.morningside.edu\/siouxlandreview\/?p=90"},"modified":"2015-10-30T16:38:58","modified_gmt":"2015-10-30T21:38:58","slug":"head-on-collision-for-reasons-still-unknown","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wordpress.morningside.edu\/siouxlandreview\/2015\/10\/30\/head-on-collision-for-reasons-still-unknown\/","title":{"rendered":"Head-on Collision for Reasons Still Unknown"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SIOUX CITY, IA\u2013 Sioux City Police, Fire Rescue, and Paramedics were called to a head-on collision Thursday morning at War Eagle Drive where one driver was seriously injured.<\/p>\n<p>Officials say a pickup truck swerved into oncoming traffic for unknown reasons and collided with an elderly woman near Grove Street, as stated from the <a href=\"http:\/\/siouxcityjournal.com\/news\/local\/head-on-collision-injures-two-in-sioux-city\/article_aa11a5d7-efdf-5009-b382-f18237bba8ab.html\" target=\"_blank\">Sioux City Journal<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The elderly woman was trapped in her car after the accident and was removed by Sioux City Fire Rescue. She some trauma-type injuries and was transported to Mercy Medical Center, reports <a href=\"http:\/\/www.siouxlandmatters.com\/news\/local-news\/one-person-injured-in-two-car-accident-on-war-eagle-drive\" target=\"_blank\">Siouxland Matters<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The pick-up truck had two passengers and one was taken to Mercy for check-up of injuries.<\/p>\n<p>Conditions are still unknown and authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SIOUX CITY, IA\u2013 Sioux City Police, Fire Rescue, and Paramedics were called to a head-on collision Thursday morning at War Eagle Drive where one driver was seriously injured.
