Board Elects New Members, Officers

Michael Bennett 1975, president of Albaton Enterprises, LLC in Sioux City, was elected chair of the Morningside College Board of Directors during its annual meeting in October.

Curtis White 1976, chief procurement officer and senior vice president, worldwide logistics and international operations for Mattel Corporation in El Segundo, Calif., was elected vice chair of the Morningside board. Sandra (McMahon) Bainbridge 1970 of Jefferson, S.D, was elected board secretary.

Board members elected to new terms include Carter Dennis, president of Dennis Supply Company in Sioux City; the Rev. James Hanke 1969 of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Dr. Patrick McKinlay, professor and chair of history and political science at Morningside; Nancy Metz of Dakota Dunes, S.D.; Amanda Norby 2005, marketing coordinator for St. Luke’s Health System in Sioux City; John Steele 1979, executive vice president, treasurer and CFO of Werner Enterprises in Omaha, Neb.; Kelci Teut, Morningside College student body president, of Hinton, Iowa; and Connie (Horton) Wimer 1954, chairman of Business Publications Corporation in Des Moines, Iowa.

Members named to chair board committees include Cynthia Moser, an attorney with the Heidman Law Firm in Sioux City, academic affairs committee; Craig Struve 1970, owner and general manager of Midwest Independent Soil Samplers in Hutchinson, Minn., finance/investment committee; Ronald Yockey 1970, project engineer at Beef Products Incorporated in Dakota Dunes, S.D., institutional advancement committee; and Richard Waller, chairman and CEO of Security National Bank in Sioux City, student life committee.
