The FDA announced in August that they will be making hearing aids access-able over the counter. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hearing aids would cost people four to five thousand dollars. Insurances didn&#8217;t cover this for most people either. For some, that is a lot of money to pump out of their pockets. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Barbara Kelley, the executive director of the Hearing Loss Association of America, stated: \u201cIt\u2019s a new frontier&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There will be nine over the counter hearing aids available. Customers will take an assessment and choose which one best suites them.
