Barney Josheph Jr, owner of a store was robbed at gunpoint late last night.

Barney owns a grocery store on 450 Stanley Street. Last night, two men wearing ski masks came into the store and held Barney at gun point. As Barney was pinned down the other robber stole $382.65 from the register.

Barney tells us that he keeps a pistol under the counter but decided not to use it, he later told police the robbery was over in less than a minute.

After further investigation we were able to determine that Josephs father was killed in a armed robbery almost 25 years prior. “Yes, Dad resisted, I guess. Anyway, they found him shot to death, his own gun in his hand, and a bullet in the store’s ceiling. I’d rather part with my money than my life,” Barney said.
