Five people were killed in a jet crash at Kennedy International Airport.

The 45 passengers were aboard the TWA jet when they were taking off from the New York City airport Thursday night. John Dumont and George Johnson, both professors at Backwater State University, were involved in the crash. They both escaped with only injuries.

TWA has not disclosed any information on how this crash occurred.
