Last night there was an armed robbery at 450 Stanley Street.
Barney Joseph Jr., 43,1625 11th Ave, the owner of BJ’s Drug, was robbed by gun point last night. He said that there were two men wearing ski masks, one pointed the gun at him and the other grabbing the cash.
The men left the drug store with $382.65 from the cash register around 8:30 pm. The robbers had a car parked at the curb just waiting for them to hop in.
The desk sergeant said that Joseph keeps a pistol under the counter, but decided not to thinking that it would be unwise to pull out the gun. Joseph told the police that the robbery was over in less than a minute.
Joseph is not new the robbery scene, his dad was killed during a robbery 25 years ago. His dad was found dead with a gun in his hand. Joseph said “Yes, Dad resisted, I guess. Anyway, they found him shot to death, his own gun in his hand, and a bullet in the store’s ceiling. I’d rather part with my money than my life,”.
Move the WHEN to the end of the sentence and BJ’s Drug will mean
more to a reader than an address:
BJ’s Drug was robbed at gunpoint last night.
