Emoni Bates, former high school basketball star, has been arrested for having a gun in the vehicle he was driving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emoni got stopped by the police for a regular traffic stop where they found the gun in his car. Emoni could face up to five years in prison. His lawyer is claiming the gun was someone else’s, while emoji was just borrowing the car. The trial is set for October 6th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bates was one of the most sought after prospects in basketball history, but with this altercation just adds another blemish on his shaky start of a college basketball career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
