Explosion at Mega City Mall

At 8:50 am today, Mega City Mall was shaken by a powerful explosion near the food court. Sergeant Fugslang, leading the investigation, stated, “The cause of the explosion is still being investigated. At the moment, there is no credible evidence that the explosion was anything other than an accident. Two people were tragically killed, both male, and their identities are being withheld until their families are informed.”

Less than 100 individuals were injured, all promptly transported to hospitals. Mega City Mall, marred by the incident, will remain closed until the weekend for scene securing and structural evaluations. The explosion caused significant damage, affecting businesses like Frisky Cream Donut, Mega City 17 theaters, and Penny Dreadful.

Jesus, a Victoria’s Secret employee, recounted, “I heard the explosion when I was helping a customer. It was a hard sound. After the explosion, I was immediately told to evacuate.”

Mandi, an off-duty police officer, was in the mall as well and shared her experience: “I was on the other side of the mall. I didn’t see what happened. I just heard over the speakers that everyone had to leave. I thought it was a shooting at first. I tried to help right away and escorted people out of the building.”

In response, Mega City Mall came out with a statement: Mega City Mall cares about the safety of its employees and patrons. The mall is closed temporarily. Shoppers can still buy via our online website. We will assist in any way possible the officials who are investigating the accident. Our thoughts are with the victims and their families.
