Explore The Other Side; Under My Bed

Under my bed, where it’s kind of dark, there’s a space filled with excitement and getting ready. When I touch the floor beneath, it feels cool and smooth, like a blank canvas waiting for something to happen.

In this hidden spot, there are suitcases—normal ones, not old or worn-out, but ready for a special job. They’re waiting patiently to be filled with things for my trip home for Christmas. When I run my hands over them, they feel new and clean, like they’re about to be part of a fun adventure.

These suitcases don’t have old stories; instead, they carry the promise of new memories. They haven’t traveled much yet, and their zippers are waiting to be opened and closed for the second time. It’s like they can sense the excitement in the air.

Next to the suitcases, there are boxes holding bits and pieces of my everyday life—papers, small things, reminders of home. The air in this space smells a bit like cardboard, but it also has a hint of something special, like the anticipation of going home for Christmas.

Under the bed isn’t just a hidden place for things; it’s a place where ordinary stuff turns into something exciting. The suitcases are like friends ready to take part in the Christmas adventure, holding the promise of bringing back stories and joy.

“They’re waiting patiently…” That’s personification, which is OK in this case because you are projecting your feelings on to the luggage.

Good use of description to create a feeling. A moment.
