Paganism

I have never viewed feminism and religion to be related. Feminism is related specifically to Pagansim. I never even knew that Paganism was an actual religion. Feminists turn to being Pagans because the religion has the Goddess that is one of the main components to the religion. The Goddess gives birth to the Horned God who then sacrifices himself for her. This shows for people an equality between the sexes because there is a female and male divine aspect. Christianity is viewed by feminists to show that males are superior and males only can be a divine aspect. I believe this view is a little distorted by some because that is not the teachings of other religions. Paganism is a somewhat strange religion to me maybe because it is has multiple divine aspects and is very unfamiliar to me.
I am a Starbucks addict living in the northern suburbs of Chicago. I am a freelance web designer as well as an internet consultant who can be hired on an hourly basis. 
I have never really thought about religion or Christianity being feminist either. I feel the same way about Paganism being unfamiliar because I wasn’t aware that feminism is most of the reason that many people choose to be Paganists. It would be interesting to talk to someone who is a Paganist and learn more about what they believe and how they worship.
I always thought that pagans were people who did not accept the churches teachings and spoke out against the teachings of the church. I kind of think of them as an enemy of the church and people who are trying to destroy christianity.
