Islam

I always view the Islamic religion as a very strange religion compared to Christianity.  The fact that it was so unfamiliar to me made me thinkit was something like Buddhism or Hinduism but in reality they worship the same God as Christians and Jews.  This came as a big surprise and this is most likely why many people are somewhat scared of Islam and its followers.  Being an unknown religion to most along with the terrorist attacks on 9/11 made many people dislike Islamic people.  Yes, there are many terrorist groups who are Islam but there are people who do terrible things in every religion.  If more people educated themselves on the beliefs of the Islamic religion then people may understand and not group the extremists and the normal followers together.  Many Christians do not group the extremist with themselves they should be able to do the same with a group they may know little about.
