Judaism
Judaism is a religion I knew very little about. After getting into the readings it made me realize that Judaism was the base to the Christian religion. Judaism is a textual religion based on the Hebrew bible or the Old Testament to Christians. The religion is monotheistic like Christianity and Islam. Judaism is also ritualistic like most religions. The fact that those three religions are so similar is very weird. The ways these religions came to be are from Abraham’s descendents I find strange. Islam and Judaism are in a war over the promised land even though their beginnings came from two brothers. I never even knew Abraham had two wives. It is just strange what someone can learn by studying the basics of religion.

I agree with you about knowing very little about Judaism in the beginning. I feel that after we discuss the reading in class it becomes very clear. Judaism is a textual religion. They use the Hebrew Bible, which is broken up into different sections. It is in 3 parts, this is TNK. The Torah, Neviim, and Keturim. Overall, I agree with you on saying that Judaism is a Textual religion.
