Loving Myself Every Day

Two for the price of one!

Hi everyone!!!  Sorry I didn’t update yesterday, my sister and parents came home from California.  It is so good to have them home!

Ok, so we’re gonna start with the workout from yesterday.  I went to the gym and did 20 minutes on the Cybrex.  If you haven’t tried the Cybrex at your gym, I highly suggest you do so.  A Cybrex is very similar to an elliptical, but it burns more fat and calories.  It’s a more running-like motion.  So I did that, and I light ab workout.  I also did lunges, squats, and a bent rows with the free weights.  I personally don’t want to bulk up, so I use a lighter weight set and aim for definition.

As far as food goes, I wasn’t very good.  I ate out for every meal BUT I tried to pick healthier options.  I’ve found that reporting to you guys and holding myself accountable is really reducing my snacking.

Breakfast: Multi-grain bagel with cream cheese, coffee with nonfat milk and two sugars, and iced green tea

Lunch: Hardee’s with my friend Titus; I had a turkey burger with all the veggies, mayo, ketchup, and mustard (NO CHEESE!), fries (which are potatoes…), and diet Coke.  Not great, but probably better than a burger or deep-fried chicken strips.

Snack: Free donut at work :/

Dinner: Thai/Laos Kitchen. For those of you in SSC that haven’t tried this place, RUN there.  It is next to Dairy Queen in the old Park Plaza restaurant.  It is to die for! I had sweet and sour chicken (lean chicken, onions, carrots, zucchini, pineapple), rice noodles, and fried won-tons.  I drank water though!

OK! So now today is Wednesday….it is a new day.  I woke up really late this morning, not feeling the greatest.  But I did go to Centergy, the Yoga class at our YMCA.  It’s not slow yoga, so you burn a lot of calories too.  It was a really good total body workout and Suzy, the instructor, was great.

Breakfast: Bagel with cream cheese

Lunch: I’m not going to lie, it’s a great meal and it tastes good and is super easy, but it looks nasty.  In a bowl, combine a can of sliced chicken breast, crushed pineapple, and a few tablespoons of barbecue sauce.  Heat it up in the microwave until it’s as warm as you want it, stirring occasionally.  I call it barbecue pineapple chicken salad.  I also heated up a can of corn with a little butter.

I’ll update later for what I had for dinner. 🙂 Have a beautiful day guys!

UPDATE: Tonight’s dinner was homemade chicken alfredo! It was DELICIOSO!
