New York Times article: Rodgers Injury Caps a Dismal Summer for New York City Sports Fans
I decided to write about this article because I really like sports and the event that happened could potentially change a whole teams season. The Quarterback of the New York Jets Aaron Rodgers got injured in just his fourth play of the game. This happened on Monday when the Jets where playing the Buffalo Bills on the season opener in New York. Aaron Rodgers suffered a torn achilles which will keep him out for the whole season. I think this is something very hard for the fans of the New York Jets. They have been hyping Aaron Rodgers and their new core of players to finally bring success to this organization and it unfortunately has gone bad again for them Christopher Maag from the New York times mentioned “All that hope and hype lasted exactly four plays. Rodgers fell to the turf on a routine play early in the first quarter, stood briefly, then sat down, a look of disbelief on his face. He had ruptured his left Achilles’ tendon”. Having their star player get injured in the first drive of the opening season game is something no one would have ever imagined.

You explain why this is newsworthy. What about the writng? Does it take the right tone? Should it be more factual and less sympathetic? What about all the stuff on other New York sports teams?
