This caught my interest, because of the word Unicorn. There is a little girl inside of me, and I totally admit it, but as I read on, and watched the clip that came with it – this is very relevant, and well written article. They told us exactly why off the bat: this little guy hasn’t been spotted in 10 years. He is going extinct unfortunately. I give this Article an A+ for environmental relevance – I hope we see him again, and next time they take much more caution with how they handle the next saola….

It would have been nice if they had put the extinction into context — vanishing habitat, decreasing food supplies, clear cutting of rain forests, encroaching cities — but maybe people are tired of all that.

September 20, 2010 @ 9:20 amI know right? It is a very pretty creature, but they said its just called a unicorn because of how rare they are (roughly a 100 left?). I clicked that link – saw that girl laying there, and I clicked right back out. Something told me it had nothing to do with poor nearly extinct Asian Unicorns…. 🙂
