I have never really thought about Christianity being sexist. I am questioning weather paganism just came from the belief that western religions are sexist or if it’s been around for longer than western religions. I think that men and women should be treated equal and that this religion might be trying to make the world a more peaceful place.
I wasn’t really aware of Paganism and all the beliefs that stem from this religion. It would be interesting to see if the different beliefs – like Wiccan – are religions by themselves. I would have to see if all of the aspects of religion that we talked about today would be apparent in those beliefs.
I, too, found all of the belifes of Paganism very interesting. It also seems to me like they are probably trying to make the world a better place. You make a great question about how long this religion has been around. It very well could have stemmed from western religions. I think it is very possible for Paganism to have religions within itself. Most likely, some Pagan beliefs would have the aspects of religion, as well.
I also never really thought of any religions to be sexist. I guess I always knew it was an issue but I never really it effected my own era very much but with things like Wiccans becoming more popular is something that is good to know about. With knowing the basics about the Wiccan ways it is easier to not judge them as much and have a respectful approach even though I still do not agree with all their ways and beliefs.
