Overturn of a 15 Year Old Formula 1 Title?

In 2008, Felipe Massa, a F1 racer from Brazil. He claims that he got robbed of a championship title and is working to overturn the result. If the Formula 1 commission was to accept this, it could cause a lot of controversy about past winner, and other racers wanting to overturn calls.

Messa lost by one point in the championship to Lewis Hamilton, who later went on to win seven championships. The cause for this overturn is a scandal of an intentional crash in Singapore the same year.

Nelson Piquet Jr crashed his car during the race. It didn’t seem intentional, but it took until a year later where he disclosed that his team told him to crash intentionally. This caused Fernando Alonso (his teammate) to get a lead on the other races because he was the only racer who took a pit stop before the crash, whereas every other racer took a pit stop after the crash, giving Alonso a chance to win the race.

He ultimately did win the race which is why Massa lost by 1 point. If he would have won that race then he would’ve came out of the championship with the most amount of points. After the scandal was released many of the team officials were suspended for fixing the race. Should the championship from 15 years ago be over turned in Felipe Massa’s favor?
